Natural Methods to Improve
Your Eyesight...

As we get older, it's natural to experience our visual abilities fading a bit.
After many years of being able to see really well, this loss of vision can be
rather disconcerting. I am happy to be able to tell you though that fortunately,
there are a number of things that we can do to help improve your eyesight. One of
the very best ways to help improve your eyesight is by doing eye
exercises.
The first eye exercise to improve your eyesight that I would like to share with
you involves your thumbs. First, hold your thumbs up directly in front of you at
approximately an arm's length distance. Next, move your thumbs in crosses, X's and
circles. Follow your thumbs with your eyes while simultaneously keeping your head
perfectly still, rather than moving your head from side to side.

One especially simple yet very effective exercise to improve your eyesight is
blinking. Just blink your eyes approximately every three to four seconds, and this
will help to make your vision stronger. Because this particular eye exercise can be
done rather discretely since it doesn't involve the use of your hands or other
tools at all, this would be a great way to improve your eyesight while doing
otherwise mundane tasks such as sitting in a waiting room at your doctor's
office.
Another exercise that often works great to improve your eyesight involves
squeezing your eyes open and shut. The first step in this eye exercise is to
squeeze your eyes tightly shut for approximately five seconds. The next step is to
then open your eyes up nice and wide for about five more seconds. You will then
want to continue alternate those two steps of squeezing your eyes open and shut
approximately eight times. Once this has been done, a great way to relax your eyes
is to close them and then rub your eyes through your eyelids in a gentle circular
motion.
Also, adding certain foods to your diet can also help immensely to improve your
eyesight. Eating vegetables such as broccoli, spinach and collard greens is
particularly helpful due to the carotenoids that these particular foods contain.
Foods containing carotenoids are especially good for the eyes as they improve your
eyesight, and they also work to help prevent macular degeneration of the eyes.
Fruits such as blueberries and apricots also work really well to help improve your
eyesight. This is in large part due to the beta carotene that these foods
contain.
Doing eye exercises is a very effective way to improve your eyesight, and it's a
great alternative to other expensive treatments such as eye laser surgery. I wish
you the best of luck, and I hope that the aforementioned exercises work great to
improve your eyesight in you for many years to come!
